This course is designed for beginners entering CNC programming, as well as current manufacturing employees seeking a refresher or an upskill in modern CAD/CAM techniques.
Participants will learn essential foundational skills, starting with basic 2D and 3D geometry creation before moving into toolpath generation for 2D milling and turning operations. Through hands-on exercises, students will gain practical experience navigating the Mastercam interface, selecting proper cutting tools, setting up workpiece stock, defining speeds and feeds, and running backplot simulations to verify toolpaths.
By the end of the course, learners will possess the confidence and core competencies required to design, program, and simulate clean, efficient G-code for precision machining.
