CNC Basicsis a 6-week introductory course that teaches beginners how to safely set up andoperateCNC milling machines and lathes. Students will develop comprehensive skills, from basic safety protocols to advanced machine operation.This course prepares studentsfor entry-level CNC machinist positions with emphasis on safety, precision, and industry best practices.

Week 2:Basic Machining Vocabulary and Machine Tool Math
Week 3:Intro to Metrology / Basic Blueprint Reading and Understanding Tolerances
Week 4:Quality Control / Understanding Tooling
Week 5:Using CNC Controls / Setting Up the Machine
Week 6:Coolant / Problem Solving
Week 2:Basic Machining Vocabulary and Machine Tool Math
